I believe the most useful app for an 11-15 year old would have to be something like IMessage or the calculator. Although this sounds boring, it also may be true. While apps like YouTube and Instagram are very popular with children at this age, they may not be as beneficial as you'd like to think. For young women, apps like these can tear down their confidence by showing them stereotypes of women that are known and accepted as beautiful. For boys developing into young men, apps like these can introduce them to many harmful thoughts and ideas.
