Growing up in a traditional Muslim household, I was always taught to uphold certain values and beliefs that were deeply ingrained in our culture. However, as I got older and ventured out into the world, I found myself faced with situations where my Muslim culture clashed with that of others, causing a sense of tension and conflict within me.

One particular incident that stands out in my mind was when I was at a university abroad and became friends with a group of people who came from different cultural backgrounds. While I enjoyed their company and found them to be wonderful individuals, there were moments when their beliefs and practices clashed with my own Muslim upbringing.

I remember one evening when we were all gathered to celebrate a friend's birthday, alcohol was being consumed freely and the music was blaring loudly. As a practicing Muslim, I felt uncomfortable in this environment and struggled to find my place amidst the revelry.

My friends noticed my unease and tried to accommodate my beliefs by offering me non-alcoholic drinks and turning down the volume of the music. However, despite their efforts, I couldn't shake off the feeling of being at odds with the situation. I felt torn between wanting to fit in with my friends and staying true to my Muslim values.
