Muckrakers published news and gossip about prominent people and events. Plessy v Ferguson was a Supreme Court decision stating that blacks and whites could have separate but equal facilities. The factory fire killed 145 people, mostly young women. The Jungle by Upton Sinclair brought people's attention to unsanitary conditions in the meat-packing industry.

They all how a part in reform. I would have to change to Plessy v. Ferguson because of it was just between the races and not everyone
You're right. Plessy v Ferguson did not influence most of the country very much. Blacks were not in a position to let their feelings be known at that time.
