There are 37 students in an algebra class. there are 9 more girls than boys. how many boys and how many girls are in the class? I have to use systems of equations to solve.

Let b = number of boys.
b + 9 = girls

b + b + 9 = 37

2b = 37 - 9

b = 28/2

b = 14
