"Hey, you go first," the boy said nervously, nudging his friend towards the cave entrance.
"No way, you go first!" the girl retorted, pushing him back.
"I heard there might be treasure in there," the boy added, trying to convince her.
"Fine, but if anything jumps out at us, I'm blaming you," the girl declared as they tiptoed into the dark cave.
The two children approached the cave cautiously. The interior looked dark and damp. Prodding each other gently, each child tried to get the other to enter the cave first.
