Without the moisture, the plants would become dry and the soil/ground would dry out as well, causing the plants to die. The animals would have a limited amount of resources due to the fact that there is hardly any water and no plants to eat

Nice answer, but I'm not sure it's correct. I think it makes sense just let me check.
It is not how the plants will die it is how the plants will adapte
