22 9/16 ?
what is the formula or how did you get that answer?
area is (side)^2
= (4 ¾)^2
= (19/4)^2
= 361/16
= 22 9/16
that explains it better thanks Reiny
i used a Ti-30xA calculator
using the fraction button : a b/c
area=length times width
so 4 ¾ times 4 ¾ equals
22 9/16 (mixed) or 361/16 (fraction)
I need to invest on that calculator thanks Kerri
oh by the way to change the answer from mixed to a fraction or vice versa thaen just use the "2nd" button also known as "shift"
once I invest on a calculator and changing from mixed to a fraction or vice versa I just press shift and enter or just shift?
Thanks Rob,Reiny and Kerri, I am taking notes...
once you get your answer from an equation, to change it to a mixed or fraction, you press shift and then the a b/c button
