Ratio = Boys : Girls = 4 : 3
4x = number of boys
3x = number of girls
4x - 6 = 3x
x = 6
4x = number of boys = 4 * 6 = 24
3x = number of girls = 3 * 6 = 18
If another 2 girls join the choir,
18 + 2 = 20 = new number of girls
24 = number of boys
New ratio = 24 : 20 = 6 : 5
The ratio of boys to girls in a school choir is 4:3. There are 6 more boys than girls. If another 2 girls join the choir, what will be the new ratio of boys to girls?
