The product of a two digit number, plus a number, is 3,355.

x=42
This makes no sense to me
"Product" means you were multiplying and "plus" means you are adding.
So which is it?

If you are saying, "the product of a two digit number with another number is 3355"
then there is no unique answer.
3355 = 11*5*61 <---- all primes

two possible answers: 11*305 , 55*61

If you allow real numbers, there would be an infinite number of cases
e.g.
3355 = 25*134.2)
or 3355 = 50*67.1
or 3355 = 43*(3355/43)
or ....
