The numerator and denominator of a fraction are in ratio 5 :2, if 5 is added to the numerator and 2 is subtracted from the denominator a new fraction 15 4 is formed. Find the original fraction.

original fraction ----- 5x/2x
new fraction: (5x+5)/(2x-2)
I can't make out what 15 4 is supposed to be.
Once you have decided, set that equal to
(5x+5)/(2x-2) , looks like you would just cross-multiply to solve
new fraction: (5x+5)/(2x-2)
