Teddy was born on March 10, 1990, in Durban, South Africa. He was the son of Themba and Nontobeko Khumalo and had two siblings, Sipho and Lindiwe. Growing up in a loving family, Teddy always dreamed of playing soccer professionally. His parents encouraged him to work hard and follow his passion.

As a child, Teddy attended local schools in Durban, where he showed great talent in soccer from a young age. He often played with friends in the streets and quickly became known for his incredible speed and skill.
