The Lemon Stand Showdown
It was a scorching sunny Sunday when my friend Max and I decided to set up the ultimate lemonade stand. We plopped our stand right at the end of the street where all the neighborhood kids rode by on their bikes and scooters. Max even painted a huge sign that read, “LEMONADE: 50 cents!”
As we were preparing our secret recipe in a giant pitcher, we noticed that Jamie and Sam had set up their own stand nearby. Their stand was decked out with sparkly decorations and a flashy sign that said “SUPER Lemonade: 25 cents!”
Realizing we needed to up our game, we dashed inside to grab ice cubes from my mom’s freezer. I mean, who doesn’t love ice-cold lemonade? I then started shouting, “Get your refreshing lemonade right here!”
To add an extra twist, I remembered I had a stash of rainbow sprinkles in my pantry. “What if we make our lemonade sweeter?” I suggested to Max. His eyes lit up, and before we knew it, we were pouring cups of sparkling yellow lemonade, finished off with colorful sprinkles on top.
Kids began lining up at our stand, and I could see Jamie glaring at us, green with envy. But guess what? Our lemonade sold out in no time! By the end of the day, we had raked in a whopping ten bucks.
After counting our profits, we treated ourselves to some milkshakes. And just like that, we were officially the Lemonade Kings of the neighborhood!
