Don't the hair ribbons and hair dresses represent sameness and mirror our fads and customs?

I know but, does anyone know a movie or book that also relate to sameness ?
Look around you. Why can girls wear pants but guys can't wear skirts? Why can girls hug each other but most guys don't hug each other? In some neighborhoods doing well in school is cause for ridicule.

I'm sure you can find other examples of sameness among your family, friends, and acquaintances.
