Wouldn't the empirical formula (the simplest formula) be CH (You get that by dividing both subscripts by a common number, in this case it is 6/6 = 1)? A mole of C6H6 is approximately 78 grams for one mole. You may want it more accurately than that; if so, then
(6*atomic mass C)+(6*atomic mass H) = ??
