The first-order rate constant for the decomposition of N2O5, 2N2O5(g) --> 4NO2(g) + O2(g), at 70 degrees C is 6.82 x 10^-3 s^-1. Suppose we start with .0208 mol of N2O5(g) in a volume of 2.2 L.
How many minutes will it take for the quantity of N2O5 to drop to .014 mol?
I've tried this problem multiple times and had two others who got it correct check it over and yet it's not working. My answer was .45 min. Can anyone tell me if that's what they got as well?

Why don't you tell me how you approached the problem and then I can see for myself. There's a general method of doing this so I figure you'd know and get some kind of answer. My question wasn't if you could check my work; my questions are clearly indicated with a question mark and this was completely unhelpful so thanks.
Let's be sensible. I can type all night on a problem and you take a few minutes to figure out what you did wrong. The other way is for you to spend your time typing and let me check your work. We're more interested in finding what you did wrong than in what I did right. You could have shown your work in the time it took to type that rude "do it my way or else" message. We volunteers try to be helpful here and help as many students as we can. We can help more students if you do the grunt work. After we see what error was made most of us are happy to show how to do it right.
