I have the number of gun deaths in 2005=36,038
2009=43,146 I think these are too high but I followed the equation to arrive at these numbers. Have I made a mistake? I cannot figure the 9,383 number into a year after 2000.Can anyone help me?

the equation is y= -1777x+27153 I did enter the equation wrong by leaving out the signs. Can you help me with the Train A and Train B problem listed in Current problems as well?

I figured it out after your suggestion of checking to see if I had written the equation properly. But I still could use some help with the train problem. Thanks so much
