you can best compare them if you make sure they all use the same power of 10. If we express them all in terms of 10^-8, we would have
6.35 x 10^-7 = 63.5 x 10^-8
do the others, and then it will be very easy to order them.
The diameters of four different atoms are shown below.
Atom A: 6.35 x 10^-7
Atom B: 1.80 x 10^-6
Atom C: 2.00 x 10^-7
Atom D: 2.50 x 10^-8
IT says to list them from LARGEST to SMALLEST.
I know what i have to do, but not sure where to start, like what i mean is, i had a problem similar to this, except with positive exponents instead of negative, and i would figure out the power of 10, then multiply it by the decimal, then write down the answer for each brand of phones i think it was?, and then listed them from highest to lowest. but for this problem, i'm just not sure that same method will work. Can someone please help?

You could just plug the equations into your calculator and find the answer for each. Then it would be easy to order them.😀
that doesnt make sense to me at all

You cannot compare apples and oranges, so
Atom A: 6.35 x 10^-7 = 63.5 x 10^-8
Atom B: 1.80 x 10^-6 = 180 x 10^-8
Atom C: 2.00 x 10^-7 = 20.0 x 10^-8
Atom D: 2.50 x 10^-8 = 2.50 x 10^-8
Now, since they are all apples. Can you order
63.5, 180, 20, 2.5 ???
Atom A: 6.35 x 10^-7 = 63.5 x 10^-8
Atom B: 1.80 x 10^-6 = 180 x 10^-8
Atom C: 2.00 x 10^-7 = 20.0 x 10^-8
Atom D: 2.50 x 10^-8 = 2.50 x 10^-8
Now, since they are all apples. Can you order
63.5, 180, 20, 2.5 ???
