The density of table salt is 2.16 g/cm3. Detail the conversion into units of pounds per liter, and provide the density in lb/L.

My solution must include a step-by-step solution with units included throughout!

2.16 g/cc to lb/L.
There are 453.59 g in 1 lb.
There are 1000 cc in 1 L..
So 2.16 g/cc x (1 lb/453.59 g) x (1000 cc/1L) = ?
The first term converts grams to pounds; the second term converts cc to L. Note that g in the first term cancel to leave lb/cc and that cc cancels in the second term leaving 1/L so all has been converted to lb/L. The answer should be about 4.8 or so.
