My word. Why didn't you show your work. I can check your conversion factors in a jif, then check the math and be done BUT you want me to start from scratch and spend all that wasted time when I could be helping others. So
0.545 gallons milk x (3.78 L/gallon) x (1000 mL/L) = 2060.1 mL
mass = volume x density = 2060.1 mL x 1.03 g/mL = 2121.9 grams.
2121.9 grams x (1 kg/1000 g) = 2.1219 kg which I would round to 2.122 kg.
By the way, you don't get credit for this unless you show your work.
The density of milk is approximately 1.03 g/mL. If you happen to spill 0.545 gallons of
milk on the floor, what mass of milk did you spill in kilograms? You must show your
work and you may only use the following conversion factors: 1 gallon = 3.78 liters, 1000
mL = 1 liter, 100 cL = 1 liter, 1 pint = 0.125 gallons, 1000 mg = 1 g, 100 cg = 1 g, 1000 g
= 1 kg)
My answer I got is 2.121 kg
