The back-to-back stem-and-leaf plot below shows the ages of patients seen by two doctors in a family clinic in one day. Compare the ages of the patients of doctor 1 and doctor 2 using the mean and the median of each data set.

Ages if doctors patients

Doctor 1 doctor 2

920| 3 5
875| 2 00236
973211| 1 37
0 2239

Key:means 29 <--9|2|3--> means23

If someone could please explain how I do it please. I don't understand how to do it. Thank you !

I NEED HELP WITH THIS TOO!
welp a rino
not sure if this will help, but what I did was find the greatest number of age in both doctors
Doctor 1's highest age is 29, while doctor's 2 highest age is 35

I subtracted 35 by 29 to get 6

not sure if this is the answer though, i'll have to say if it is once I turn it in
wait lmfao im dumb, i didn't read the answer through so the answer 6 is wrong, 6 isn't an option anyway

but the answer 6 is right for the question, "The back to back stem and leaf plot below shows the age of patients seen by two doctors in a family clinic one day. What is the difference between the age of the oldest patients seen by Doctor 1 and the age of the oldest patient seen by Doctor 2?"
once again, i am left even more confused than when i started

The mean age and the median age of doctor 2's patient is greater than the mean age of doctor 1

From the complete question, we have the following data

Doctor 1: 1, 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 15, 17, 18, 20, 22, 29
Doctor 2 : 2, 2, 3, 9, 13, 17, 20, 20, 22, 23, 26, 35
The mean is calculated as:

x = sideways M and x over n

So, we have:

Doctor 1:

x1 = 144/12 = 12

Doctor 2:

x2 = 192/12 = 16

By comparison, the mean age of doctor 2's patient is greater than the mean age of doctor 1

The median is the middle element, and it is calculated as:
median = 1/2(n + 1)

For both doctors, n = 12.

So, we have:

median = 1/2 (12 + 1)
median = 6.5th

This means that the median is the mean of the 6th and the 7th elements.

For doctor 1, we have:

m1= 1/2 X (9 + 15) = 12

For doctor 2, we have:

m2 = 1/2 X (17 + 20) = 18.5

By comparison, the median age of doctor 2's patient is greater than the mean age of doctor 1
don't give me credit, give MrRoyal credit.
