1) $46.35/3 and $81.35/5
Round $46.35 to $50/3=16.666
Round $81.35 to $80/5=16
16.666 is greater than 16

2)$7.27/13 and $9.08 divided by 19
Round $7.27 to $7/13=0.538
Round $9.08 to $9/19=0.473
0.538 is greater than 0.473

3)8.2/12 and 7.3/14
Round 8.2 to 8/12=0.666
Round 7.3 to 7/14=0.5
0.666 is greater than 0.5

Can you tell me please if the above answers are right or wrong and point out any mistakes if any.

I will go back and try number 1 again and relook at that one and will then post my second answer.

So instead for number 1 you would do the following:

$46.35/3 and $81.35/5
Round $46.35 to $46/3=15.333
Round $81.35 to $81/5=16.2
so then 15.333 is less than 16.2

You're right. But it would be easier to round to 45 and 80.

So what you are saying is try to get a number that the lower number such as 3 or 5 can be able to better divide into.

I think I may have a tad bit of a better understanding so like with the below:

276.3/9 and 389.4/5
276.3 would be rounded to 270/9=30
389.4 would be rounded to 400/5=80
so 30 would be less than 80
