Thank you very much. I'm doubtful about the verb choice in these three sentences. Can you please have a look at them?
1) The journalist believes that parents should give their teenagers space to find their own identity by letting them make their own choices and giving them responsibility for their choices.
2) Parents should communicate their teenager(s) that they trust and respect them instead of giving them repeated advice and warnings.
3) Teenagers, on the other hand, need to respect their parents’ opinions and choices instead of simply complaining about them or even ignoring them.
