I've written a paragraph on Wordsworth's life using the past. At the end I included the following sentence:
The power of his imagination enabled him to communicate his knowledge, so that he becomes (not became) a moral teacher who shows men how to understand their feelings and improve their moral being.
Which one is correct? Become or became?

Since you used "enabled" in the first clause, I'd use "became" in the second clause.
