1 answer

During my teaching practice (TP), I encountered both negative and positive experiences. One of the negative aspects I faced was the difficulty in managing disruptive behavior in the classroom. It was challenging to maintain a positive learning environment when certain students consistently disrupted the lesson.

To overcome this problem, I sought advice from my mentor teacher and observed their strategies for managing disruptive behavior. I also implemented proactive measures such as establishing clear expectations and rules from the beginning, and consistently reinforcing them. Additionally, I tried to connect with the disruptive students individually to understand their motivations and address any underlying issues. Gradually, through consistent efforts and open communication, I was able to manage the disruptive behavior and create a more conducive learning atmosphere.

On the positive side, I experienced the joy of witnessing students' growth and progress. Seeing a struggling student grasp a concept, gain confidence, and show improvement was immensely rewarding. Building positive relationships with students, gaining their trust, and tailoring my teaching approaches to their individual needs greatly contributed to their progress.

Furthermore, I received invaluable support and guidance from my mentor teacher and fellow colleagues. Observing experienced educators in action and seeking their feedback on my teaching techniques proved immensely beneficial. Their constructive criticism helped me refine my instructional strategies and become a more effective teacher.

Overall, my TP experience was a valuable learning opportunity that taught me the importance of resilience, adaptability, and continuous improvement. By seeking guidance, implementing proactive measures, and building relationships with students, I was able to overcome the challenges and make a positive impact on their education.
