Tariffs encourage Americans to buy U.S.-made products because doing so is patriotic. Is this true? why or why not.

It is not true. Tariffs put taxes on imported goods. They have nothing to do with patriotism.
Is there a web site you got this from or somehere I could get moe information, or cou;d you explain it deeper. I have to do a paper and its due tomorrow, and I need to have at least 100 words for it.

Just defining the two terms -- patriotism and tariffs will take much of the 100 words. Then you can show how patriotism has nothing to do with tariffs and why Americans buy certain goods.
