x = - 3

Put this value in first equation.

- 4 x + 3 y = - 12

- 4 ∙ ( - 3 ) + 3 y = - 12

12 + 3 y = - 12

Subtract 12 to both sides.

3 y = - 24

y = - 24 / 3

y = - 8

The solution is:
