Systems in the Human Body
The human body is made up of different systems that interact with each other to achieve homeostasis for the body. All of the organ systems are made up of organs that are made from tissues and cells. The cells that form the tissues of an organ depend on the function of the organ. Three of the body’s systems—the circulatory, digestive, and excretory system—are shown.

The Circulatory system is made up of the heart, veins and arteries. It pumps blood to the rest of the body. The Excretory system is made up of the kidneys, ureter, bladder, and urethra. It takes waste and removes it from the body. It also filters toxins from the blood and removes excess waste from the body. The Digestive system is made up of the esophagus, liver, stomach, large intestine, and small intestine. It works when food and water enter through the mouth. It breaks down the food and absorbs the nutrients. Then it removes the solid waste.

For the given system, drag and drop the choices from the LEAST complex to the MOST complex.

To arrange the human body systems from the least complex to the most complex, you would follow this order:

  1. Cells: The basic building blocks of life.
  2. Tissues: Groups of cells that work together to perform a specific function.
  3. Organs: Structures made up of different tissues that perform specific functions.
  4. Organ System: A group of organs that work together to carry out complex functions.

Now, applying this to the specific systems you've described:

  1. Excretory System (since it primarily focuses on waste removal, which is a defined function with specific organs involved)
  2. Digestive System (more complex than the excretory system as it involves the processing of food and absorption of nutrients)
  3. Circulatory System (the most complex of the three due to its role in transporting blood, nutrients, and oxygen throughout the body, involving a network of arteries, veins, and the heart)

So, the arrangement from least complex to most complex is:

  1. Excretory System
  2. Digestive System
  3. Circulatory System
