Suppose that a net force F gives an object with a mass of m an acceleration of 9.65 m/s/s.

Suppose that the net force were increased by a factor of 4.7, and the mass were increased by a factor of 3.0. What would be the new acceleration (in m/s/s)?

Please help, for I do not understand!

1 answer

a= force/mass

so if you increase f by 4.7, and mass by 3.0

a=4.7/3= times the original a, or
a=4.7/3 * 9.65 m/s^2
