4=6y
divide both sides by 6
2/3=y
Sorry!
I have another problem!
4-2y=4y
I always get a bit confused if there's a minus sign in front of a number.
The book says the answer is 2/3
So what I first did was.
4-2y=4y
4=6y
which is 1 1/2, and wrong.?
2 answers
4-2y=4y
4 - 2y + 2y = 4y + 2y
4 = 6y
Here you need to divide by sides of the equation by 6.
4/6 = y
4 - 2y + 2y = 4y + 2y
4 = 6y
Here you need to divide by sides of the equation by 6.
4/6 = y
