The question was not written correctly.
An inequality 3 ( x + 1 ) < 5 ( x + 2) can be solved:
3 ∙ x + 3 ∙ 1 < 5 ∙ x + 5 ∙ 2
3 x + 3 < 5 x + 10
3 x - 5 x < 10 - 3
- 2 x < 7
Divide both sides by - 2 and change the direction.
x > - 7 / 2
I do not know what 3 ( x + 1 ) < 5 ( x + 2 ) = 15 mean.
15 is certainly greater than - 7 / 2.
Solve the inequality: 3(x+1) < 5(x+2) = 15?
