5x^2 = 9x + 2
first we transpose all terms to the left side of the equation:
5x^2 - 9x - 2 = 0
then we factor (since it's factorable):
(5x + 1)(x - 2) = 0
5x + 1 = 0
5x = -1
x = -1/5
x - 2 = 0
x = 2
therefore,
x = -1/5 and x = 2
hope this helps~ XD
