x^2 + (4/3) x = 1/3
x^2 + (4/3) x + 4/9 = 1/3+4/9 = 7/9
(x+2/3)^2 = 7 /9
x+2/3 = +/- sqrt7 /3
x = -2/3 +/- sqrt7/3
Solve the equation by completing the square.
3x^2+4x=1
My answer: x=-2+or- sqrt. of 39 all over 3.
When I checked my answer how come it was x=-2+or-sqrt. of 7 all over 3?
