solve: Ln(x+2)-Ln(4x+3)=Ln(1/x)

I think this is a Log of Quotient

1 answer

ln( x+2)/(4x+3) ) = ln (/x)

(x+2)/(4x+3) = 1/x
x^2 + 2x = 4x+3
x^2 - 2x - 3 = 0
(x-3)(x+1) = 0
x = 3 or x = -1

but if x = -1 , ln(4x+3) is undefined, so

x = 3
