Solve for x

10^x/10 = (0.01)^1/3

A.) x = -2
B.) x = 1/3
C.) x = 2/3

None of those seem to fit when plugged in.

1 answer

10^x/10 = (0.01)^1/3

I see base 10 all over the place

10^(x-1) = ((1/10)^2)^(1/3)
10^x-1 = 10^(-2/3)
so
x-1 = -2/3
x = 1/3
