x+4/x-2 less than equal 1 thanks for your help

2 answers

(x+4)/(x-2) <= 1

If x-2>0, then
x+4 <= x-2
4 < -2
no solutions there

If x-2 < 0,
x+4 >= x-2
4 >= -2
so all x's are a solution. But our condition was that x-2 < 0, so
x < 2

Makes sense, since there is a horizontal asymptote at y = 1 and a vertical asymptote at x = 2
6 is less than equal 0
