Solve b-9>20

I did 29-9>20
But I'm not sure that's right.

I think you meant

b-9 > 20
Now add 9 to both sides to get b by itself:
b > 29
I don't understand, can you please explain what you mean. Add 9 to what?
When you add 9 to both sides, the -9 and +9 cancel on the left side, leaving just the variable on that side. On the other side, you just add 9 to 20 to get 29. Whatever you do on one side, you MUST do to the other. I hope this helps! :)
That's part b of the question part A. I already have with is solve a-9=20 I did 20+9=29

Part c is how is solving the equation in part a similar to solving the inequality in part b?
Part d is how are the solutions different.
I don't understand part c or d.
