What do you want done?? Do you want it solved for y?
If so, first square both sides, which would leave you:
(2-y)(2-y)=y+4
FOIL
4-4y+y^2=y+4
Then subtract 4 and y which would get you
y^2-5y=0
Factor out the y.
y(y-5)=0

y=0 or y=5
