Solve:

-1/3 - 5/4t = 3/4 - 1/6t

would I cross multiply?

(-1)(4t) - (3)(5) = (3)(6t) - 4

I am stuck here, please help.

1 answer

12 is least common denominator, so mutiply every term left and right by 12

-12/3 -60t/4 = 36/4 -12t/6
or
-4 - 15 t = 9 - 2 t
now proceed
