Solution Dilution question:

An order for 25mg of a oral solution is needed. You have 1000g and a 30ml bottle to make the solution. How many ml will you need for 25mg of the finshed oral solution.

So once the solution is made, I will need to get 0.75ml out which = 25mg

Is that correct?

1 answer

25mg/.75ml=1/30 mg/ml=33.3mg/ml=30*33.3mg/30ml=999mg/30ml=appx 1 gram in a 30ml bottle.

So, now the 1000 grams...that is a lot of stuff to put in a 30 ml bottle. That would be three times as dense as Hg. So I assume your 1000 is mg, if so, your answer is correct.
