[ 1 - (9/x^2) ] / [ 1 - (3/x) ]
multiply top and bottom by x^2
[ x^2 - 9 ] / [ x^2 - 3 x ]
[ (x-3)(x+3) ] / [ x (x-3) ]
(x+3)/x
