Simplify the rational expressions,if possible.State the excluded values,if any.

1.5x-5/10x^2-25x+15

2.w^2+6w+9/2w^2-18

1 answer

(5x-5)/(10x^2-25x+15)
5(x-1) / 5(2x^2-5x+3)
5(x-1) / 5(x-1)(2x-3)
Now as long as x≠1, that is just
1/(2x-3)

(w^2+6w+9)/(2w^2-18)
(w+3)(w+3) / 2(w+3)(w-3)
if x≠-3, that's
(w+3) / 2(w-3)
