Simplify the expression

(7+5)+4*13-2
I would like an explanation on how to do this question if you can:)

2 answers

(7+5)+4*13-2

I used the technique PEMDAS
P= Parenthesis
E= Exponents
M= Multiplication
D= Division
A= Addition
S= Subtraction.

Combine 7+4 = (12) + 4 * 13 - 2

There's no exponents so we can skip that part. Next is Multiplication = 12 + (52) - 2

Now combine everything together using addition. = 64 - 2

Finally use your last step (subtraction) and you have your answer. = 62

Hope that helped!
I forgot the first step! When I said combine I meant that you should combine anything in the parenthesis. Which should be 5! Don't know where 4 came from.
Then you can continue on.
