q^4+16q^3+64q^2-64/(q+8)^2

is this answer correct, can you help me .

I don't know how you got your answer, nor what you mean by "removing factors of 1" but
(q^2-64)/(q+8)^2
=(q+8)(q-8)/(q+8)^2
=(q-8)/(q+8) , q not equal to -8
