Mexican General Santa Anna
& Texas Commanders William Travis & James Bowie
Santa Anna & 6,000 Mexicans surrounded the Alamo and demanded surrender. When it didn’t happen, the Mexican army attacked & killed all defenders of the Alamo. This attack motivated Texans to fight harder, “Remember the Alamo!” became the battle cry.
