Jane Seymour, born around 1508, was the third wife of King Henry VIII of England and the mother of his only male heir, Edward VI. She married Henry in 1536, shortly after the execution of his second wife, Anne Boleyn. Jane is often depicted as a gentle and nurturing figure, in contrast to Henry's previous wives, and she played a significant role in the Tudor court. She died in 1537, shortly after giving birth, and was buried beside Henry in St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. Jane is remembered for her loyalty and the role she played in securing the Tudor line.
