Fire extinguishers are very important as they give first aid assistance before the arrival of
the fire Department. They are mainly used in small fires which can be easily managed by
a trained member of staff. The fire fighting equipment can be fixed system or portable fire extinguisher.
Name and explain the four (4) important requirements for portable extinguishers.

1. Accessibility:

   • Fire extinguishers must be easily accessible in case of a fire. They should be installed in clearly marked locations that are not obstructed by furniture, equipment, or other obstacles. The placement should be within a reasonable distance from potential fire hazards, allowing trained personnel to quickly retrieve and use them when needed. This ensures rapid response in the event of a small fire, minimizing damage and risk.

2. Correct Classification:
