assuming RST are collinear points, in that order,
RS+ST=RT, so hmmm.
If R bisects ST, and 5x=7 is a typo for 5x+7, then since SR=RT,
5x+7 = 15x-1
10x = 8
x = 4/5
But you may have had other things in mind. Remember, we cannot see what diagram you have in front of you. Nor can we be sure what you mean when your typing is sloppy.
