roxy spends 1/5 hour cleaning the table 3/10 hours washing dishes, and 4/5 hour reading a book. How many hours does she spend doing all these activities?

We're going to add all the time she spent doing all these activities.
When adding fractions remember to first find their least common denominator. 10 is the LCD.
Therefore,
1/5 becomes 2/10
3/10 remains the same because it already has a 10 in the denominator
4/5 becomes 8/10
Because they all have the same denominator you can now add the fractions by simply adding up the numerators and placing it over the common denominator.
2+3+8
_____ = 13/10
