Ridge systems are bout how many kilometers wide? 1ooo, 500, 100, 50, or 10. Yesterday, Bob Pursley was so kind to give me the answer of 50 km, but I'm still not sure. I think it's between 1000km - 3000km because rift valleys are 20-50 km wide. Can you, Bob, or someone please explain this to me. Thanks

Lance, Now I'm really confused. Going to the web site you gave me states that mid-ridge systems are over 2000 km wide, and that is not one one the choices I have been given. 1000 km is the largest. Any more suggestions? Thanks again.

As a result, the crest of the Ridge undulates up and down by hundreds of meters over distances of from 10 to 1,000 kilometers.> That is from a source I just read. This is one of the ridge crests in the western pacific. Go with 1000km. You were right, I gave you rift valley width.

Go with the largest. Save my reference to show the instructor if need be.
