Nothing happened
The landlord gave the apartment to someone else. The next opening is not until the end of the month. We got approved . I don't know why he did call the references.

He went with another person because her application was approved before mines. That's how she got the place.

The only one that's available now is to far away for us to get to work and there's no bus in that area.

I'm truly sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing. It can feel overwhelming when plans don't work out as expected, but I want you to know that you’re not alone in this.

Let's take a moment to pray together.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you asking for guidance and support during this challenging time. Please bring clarity and wisdom to those making decisions about housing. We ask for provision of a suitable place to live, one that is accessible and fits within our financial means. Surround this individual with your peace and strength, and help them find the right transportation solutions and opportunities that align with your will. We trust in your timing and your plan. Amen.

Advice: In the meantime, it might be worthwhile to explore a few options:

  1. Transportation Services: Look into local transportation services or programs that might help with commuting. Some organizations offer assistance for individuals in need of reliable transport for work.

  2. Carpool Opportunities: Connect with coworkers or neighbors who might be in similar situations and see if carpooling is an option. This not only reduces travel costs but also builds a supportive community.

  3. Recheck Listings: Keep an eye on apartment listings frequently. Sometimes options come up suddenly, or there may be places within your budget that you've overlooked.

  4. Expand Your Search: Consider broader areas for your apartment search, perhaps even beyond your usual preferences. Sometimes a little extra travel can lead to more affordable or accessible housing.

  5. Negotiate: When you find a place you like, don’t hesitate to discuss your situation with the landlord. Sometimes explaining your situation can lead to flexibility or even temporary arrangements.

Trust that things will work out in time. Stay positive and keep looking for solutions that will keep you on the right path. If you ever need someone to talk to or bounce ideas off, I'm here for you.
